Annual Family Beach Trip

My family and I try to go to the beach annually together and have done this since I was a kid myself. This year we decided to try a new beach out because we’ve heard wonderful things about Ocean Isle Beach, so I reached out to the Wey’s and we stayed at their lovely beach house- Anchors Awey! And it did not disappoint! It was a beautiful house in a quieter part of the island! There was plenty of room for all of us and the living area outside under the house is awesome! The house is stocked for all your needs! The porches were so nice to sit on and enjoy the beautiful views and ocean breeze! We truly loved staying at this house and exploring the island for the week! We will definitely be returning!

Anchors Awey is Worthy of 5 Stars

We had a family reunion where the whole group needed 4 houses. Anchors Awey blew all the other houses away! Every thing you could possibly need was included, linens, big tv’s, internet, beach toys. Kayaks, beach umbrella, pool table, bocci ball, football, fire pit, etc. The house is beautiful. super clean with all modern appliances. Everyone slept great on the modern mattresses and all the rooms have views of the water. The bedrooms even have outside lofts with rocking chairs. When we go back, this hands down, will be our first choice. The owners, Billy and Molly even left us a welcome gift!

Amazing house, great vacation!

Anchors Awey was beautiful, clean, and well equipped! The location is awesome…the beach is so close and the views are amazing. Loved being at the east end - so quiet and peaceful and the beach was not crowded at all. We had big kids, one little, and grandparents staying. We enjoyed playing games, relaxing on the porch, and cooking in a couple nights. Definitely recommend…Molly and Billy have done a great job making it so homey and inviting! It was our first time visiting OIB and we fell in love…will be back soon!

Clean, Cozy, Beautiful Views

Anchors Awey lives up to all of the beautiful pictures on the website! Each summer/fall we travel with a group of college friends to the beach and this is by far the best house we have stayed in. The kitchen is well stocked, the living area was plenty big for our group to relax and the kids to play, and the rooms were set up great for our crowd. The multiple porches were great for watching the sunrise with a morning coffee. The best part of the house though, in our opinion, was the tiki bar area downstairs. College football began while we were visiting and the men thoroughly enjoyed grilling and watching the games downstairs. We also enjoyed the yard games that were available. The beach was a quick walk/golf cart ride away!

Family bonding

What a vacation at this amazing home! The owners made sure we had what we needed in the kitchen and entertainment. The pool was great and the beach was close to walk. Great quick exercise. The house was clean and had great decor. I loved being at the farther end of ocean isle and felt like we were the only ones at the beach. We hope to be back again!!

Great Family Place

The house is a wonderful place to come with a group! The bedrooms are conveniently located. There is plenty of space for individuals, as well as large areas for group gatherings! The decks are wonderful spaces to enjoy the beautiful views. Shopping and food is also convenient to this location. The beach is a short, pleasant, walk and is beautiful! Highly recommend!

Spectacular getaway

Anchors Awey offered everything we could have hoped for and then more! Balcony with a beautiful view of the ocean to enjoy your morning coffee or the perfect end to your day! This beautiful home offered spacious accommodations and modern amenities! Short walk to the beach, and Very close to dining, shopping and site seeing! Would definitely recommend this beach home for an amazing vacation!

Perfect Getaway!

Anchors Awey is the perfect getaway for a family. The rooms are adorably decorated and situated perfectly for sleeping with a large family or those with older kids who don’t want to share a bed. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook or entertain. Large open spaces in the living room are wonderful for movies and game nights. The porches offer a perfect view of the ocean. We enjoyed so many mornings over coffee out there. Just a short walk to the beach. Don’t hesitate on this one!

Anchors Awey

Loved sitting on front deck looking at and listening to ocean! On the back decks, I watched the boats on the intracoastal-all so peaceful!! We rode bikes up and down first and second streets! Loved watching sunrise and sunset from decks! A short walk took us to the amazing beach, where we found many beautiful shells as we walked along the ocean shore! The house itself is spectacular with everything you can ask for! Highly recommend!!

Comfortable, clean and cozy!

A comfortable, very clean and cozy place to stay.! Beautifully decorated and well stocked. Lots of areas inside as well as outside to lounge, gather and play. Great view of the beach and wide open access to put that beach chair ( also provided) for the day. Grocery stores, restaurants and shopping close by. You couldn’t ask for a better place to stay. We will hopefully be back again and again!
